It doesn’t take a great deal of arm twisting for the Music on the Meadow gang to organise a shindig. When there were whispers of a bank holiday and street parties to celebrate the royal wedding, we didn’t want to miss all the fun. We all talked about how lovely Kate looked and how hideous a certain pair of royal sisters looked; we all drank a bit of bubbly (though I’m sure ours was considerably less expensive per bubble) and we all admired the decorations (Jean can work wonders with bunting and napkins).

We had a terrific evening under canvas, overlooking Muttley’s green and pleasant land. If Zara Phillips is looking for a nice spot for a bit of a do when she gets married, I really don’t think that Wernwyn should be overlooked...
